COMMENTS ON THIS DRILL:
Great drill to begin with for rebounder to locate ball, get under, jump, grab, chin and pivot! |
VIDEOS OF VARIOUS TYPES OF REBOUNDING
|
The whole team can get involved paired up in 2s and one ball between them
Drill begins with #1 tossing the ball 12-15 feet in the air off to one side of partner. Make your partner move a foot or two.
#2 who began in a defensive position moves quickly under the ball and jumps to catch the ball with arms fully extended times to get it at the height of jump.
After catching the ball the player rips it to their chin (chin it) level with elbows out and hands on side of ball. Rebounder upon landing pivots left or right.
Rotate back facing partner and repeat the drills tossing back to #1.
