HOOPZONE
Online Drills

Two-ball dribbling drills are extremely effective in improving your dribbling and ball handling. Whenever you do activities that are more difficult than you are accustomed to, the previous activity becomes easier in relation to what you are now doing. So, if you regularly practice dribbling with two basketballs, imagine how easy it would be to dribble with one.

Ball Handling 2 Ball Dribble Videos

Below is a advanced video of stationary two-ball dribbling moves that you can practice but realize this takes lots of practice and do not get discouraged when practicing. Time spent on working with 2 balls will greatly enhance your dribbling skills. I highly recommend doing these!

Below the video we have some 2 Ball Dribbling Drills and ball-handling workouts. There are many more advanced drills as shown in video we do not have posted here. But if you find yourself finding these getting easy push yourself with new ones.

All Drills shown below can also be found on our Video Page so you can see each drill being done. (to be finalized fist quarter of 2010)

1) 2-Pound it!
Start with a solid dribbling position with knees and waist bent. Dribble the balls together waist high firmly.

2) 2-High / Low
Start by dribbling the balls waist high for 10 seconds, then suddenly let it fall low by dribbling them as low as you can, hold this for 10 seconds, then bring it back up to waist high.

3) Pistons
Alternate the dribble like pistons in a engine.

4) 1 High, 1 Low
Dribble a ball on each side, one as high as you can with the other low to the floor. Then switch.

5) 2 Ball Side V-Dribble
Dribble the balls on sides from front to back. Rolls wrist back and forth to dribble front and back.

6) Wipers
Dribble both balls together in front and "roll" your hand over the top of the ball, outside to inside and vice-versa to get a windshield "Wiper" effect.

7) Front V-Dribble Handoff
Dribble one ball in front, crossing it over back and forth between hands. Hand the other ball back and forth in front of your waist.

8) 2 Ball Juggling
Keep both balls moving in the same direction in a circular motion. Bounce one ball over, hand the other over, bounce over, hand over, etc. Repeat in opposite direction.

9) 2 Ball Front Crossover
Dribble both balls in front. Then every few dribbles, crossover dribble both balls to the opposite hand.

10) Crossovers (front & back)
Do crossovers, one in front and one in back at same time moving dribbling hands front to back.
